This workshop moves beyond the technical how---to of Learning Management System (LMS) to focus on the unique challenges faced by online educators and their students. This workshop is designed to take you through the development of the online course from the beginning to the end with both theoretical guidance and practical tips and tools. It will provide facilitators understanding of nuances in online learning and how to engage students and reach learning goals in a virtual environment. We will cover the steps instructors need to take before the course begins, including how to build content, how to encourage collaboration, what assessment tools are appropriate, and how to determine success with various evaluation techniques, all while exploring how your institution’s LMS can help you along the way.
