Presenters: Michael Brustein
Michael Brustein is a nationally recognized authority on the federal role in education, and has spent the past 35 years concentrating on the federal delivery system for career technical education. He is a founding partner in the Washington, DC law firm, Brustein & Manasevit, which maintains a nationwide education practice. Mr. Brustein advises several, State, local and postsecondary institutions on matters related to Tech Prep and the Perkins Basic Grant. He has worked with congressional staff over the past several years in the crafting of the various Perkins Bills.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Brustein worked in the HEW Office of General Counsel, where he served as the Chief of the Adult and Vocational Education Branch. In that role, he was one of the principal architects of the Perkins regulations.
Mr. Brustein is the foremost authority on Perkins Grant regulations. He will discuss such things as:
