  "DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATION: TEACHING STRATEGIES: PROMISING PRACTICES"

Teaching strategies that show promise for improving developmental student learning will be featured. These include: Peer-led Team Learning, Accelerated Learning Groups, Brain Compatible Learning, Structured Learning Assistance, and others.

Presenters include Dr. Rita Smilkstein, author and international expert on brain-compatible teaching; and David Arendale, former President of the National Association for Development Education and Assistant Professor /Outreach Advisor, Center for Research on Developmental Education and Urban Literacy, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
